Porta Venezia Apartment

Location Milan Floor area 180 sqm Year 2024

When BBA Studio undertakes a residential project, it approaches the task with the goal of restoring the essence of the apartment. This involves reconstructing the thread of its history and eliminating layers of non-authentic modifications. The primary objective is always to bring the apartment back to its original essence, interpreting the spaces architecturally and striving to rationalize the design.

The apartment is located in a 1940s building that retains its architectural and historical dignity. The living room overlooks the garden of a convent, and the large window that connects it to the kitchen allows for continuous use of space and light, establishing a connection between the street-facing side of the house and the internal side. This conception of space benefits from natural light, and the carefully selected materials highlight the meticulous choice of furnishings, a combination of contemporary pieces and elements recovered from the same historical period as the building.
